Capturing and Creating
Amazing Digital Nature Photography.

presented by Kathy Keller Matejek and Linda Lalewicz of Amazing Sites Adventures

They will cover topics such as keys to exquisite composition, macro photography, working with depth of field to get that Texas Highways look, shadows, panoramas, High Dynamic Range photography, painting with light, and more.

They also believe critique is key to the learning experience. Bring 3 or 4 photos on a thumb drive and they'll look at what you did right, what you could have done and what you still can do with a little software assistance.

Amazing Sites Adventures offers digital photo workshops at some of the most awe-inspiring parks and natural areas of Texas. They like pristine wilderness, comfortable accommodations and gourmet cooking. Their package includes a variety of training modules covering technical and artistic techniques for capturing and creating amazing nature photography.

Kathy Keller Matejek is Accessibility and Disability Rights Coordinator, Texas Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities and was the Web Accessibility Coordinator for the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife.

Prior to that, she worked as was a professional photographer in a partnership with Connie Moberley at a company called Photoworks. We did oil and gas related commercial photography. Here is Connie's work now: http://www.imagesthatwork.com/

Linda Lalewicz is a SharePoint Administrator at Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics in Austin. She is also a photographer and outdoors enthusiast.

The meeting will be at the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, Criss Cole Center at 4800 North Lamar/Sunshine. That's between 45th and Guadalupe on Lamar. Try to park in the garage.
